Equipment information
Having the correct equipment for the job is absolutely necessary to be able to fully enjoy your skiing experience.
We always advise first time skiers to borrow jackets, trousers and ski gloves if at all possible just in case you do not take to skiing!!
It is a lot of expense to lay out if you find you do not enjoy it.
A few tips if you are buying, or borrowing clothing-
1. Make sure that your jacket and trousers are waterproof and breathable - you never know when you maybe out in a snow storm
2. Buy good underlayers eg. tops and thermals. You want to keep warm on cold days but not to get too hot on days later on in the season when it is sunny
3. Always have protection for your eyes against the glare of the snow. Goggles are the best to wear but if not wear good sunglasses
4. Never ski without gloves!!!
If you have your own ski's it is ideal to have them serviced and waxed before you use them. If you are unable to have this done before you leave the UK then Maurice has all the equpment to do them for you at the chalet
As long as you are warm and dry, no matter what the conditions are, you will have a great time !!!!!!!
